About the Federation 

The North Coast Library Federation is a partnership between libraries in Northwest British Columbia. It was officially incorporated in September 2006 and receives funding from the Public Library Services Branch in Victoria. The public libraries of Hazelton, Houston, Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Smithers, Stewart and Terrace are full members of the Federation, and the library at Northwest Community College is an associate member.

The Federation believes libraries can work better together than apart. By pooling their resources, libraries in the Northwest improve their purchasing power, deliver better services, and streamline circulation and cataloguing systems.
